Building intelligent systems for airspace, autonomy, and software products.

I’m Brandon Cook, PhD — an aerospace engineer specializing in intelligent and autonomous systems, with NASA experience across UAS Traffic Management, advanced airspace concepts, wildfire response operations, and technology transition.

About

Aerospace engineer with a systems-first approach to autonomy and product development.

My work focuses on complex operational systems where autonomy, data, safety, and human decision-making intersect. I’ve led and supported technical efforts across UAS Traffic Management, advanced airspace operations, conflict detection, system architecture, and concept of operations development.

I’m now using that foundation to build software products: starting with web applications, testing ideas in public, and developing scalable tools that can become standalone products over time.

Projects

Technical work across autonomy, airspace operations, and intelligent systems.

NASA ACERO

Concept of operations, system architecture, stakeholder workshops, technology roadmapping, and wildfire response operations for advanced emergency response.

UAS Traffic Management

BVLOS drone operations, flight demonstrations, data management, conflict detection, and validation of autonomous flight operations.

Intelligent Flight Systems

Fuzzy logic, tracking, state estimation, multi-agent decision-making, separation assurance, and collision avoidance for unmanned systems.

App Lab

Testing software products now. Building scalable applications next.

This site will serve as a launch platform for web-based applications. Each app will eventually support authenticated accounts, user-specific saved data, and separate testing and production environments.

Building

Golf Games

A live scoring and game-format platform for golfers who want connected rounds, group play, and real-time leaderboards.

Prototype

Budget Automation

A personal finance toolset for importing, cleaning, categorizing, and analyzing transaction data.

Planning

Future Systems Lab

A sandbox for aerospace, autonomy, data, and product experiments before they become standalone apps.

Planned architecture

Vercel for frontend hosting and deployment, Supabase for authentication, PostgreSQL database storage, realtime features, and user-specific data. Future app environments can live at subdomains like golf.brandmcook.com and beta-golf.brandmcook.com.
